Must Have
- Experience and understanding of standard accounting, bookkeeping and budgeting processes.
- Technical understanding of cloud-based applications, including Google Suite applications, accounting applications and donor software for nonprofits (e.g. Raiser's Edge or similar).
- Understands HR, payroll and staffing requirements in a small business/nonprofit environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a skill for developing replicable processes.
- General business experience in a “small shop” business, educational organization (educational, civic foundation or PTA) or nonprofit environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and collaborate with instructional and support staff when needed on organizational and HR related concerns.
- Possess a high standard of discretion and confidentiality in dealing with employee and organizational records.
Detailed Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Spearheads annual budgeting process and adoption of annual budget.

- Monthly and recurring reimbursements and invoicing to clients, including staff mileage and expense reimbursements
- Reviews and approves all Pexcard (expense debit card) transactions in line with the budget
- Initiates Pexcard non-recurring transfers with approval of ET
- Assures staff Pexcard compliance
- Monthly and recurring reimbursements and invoicing to clients, including staff mileage and expense reimbursements
HR/Personnel
- Responsible for all transactions related to payroll, including payroll processing, contract preparation, and compliance.
- Maintains detailed account for budgeting and grant documentation

- Updates Job Descriptions for hiring in collaboration with ET and Program Team and oversees as placement, focusing on social media and low cost sites.
- Supports Program Team and ET with follow-through on contracts
- Assures successful onboarding of all new hires, including contract completion

- Confirms that new staff has name badge and appropriate branded attire
- Assures staff compliance regarding human resource related training (sexual harassment; discrimination; child welfare), and safety and health requirements.

- Ensures accurate and timely processing of one-time and annual payments and contracts such as tax related documents, insurance payments, recurring software and operating contracts, PO Box and licenses (software).
